Hi all! This will be my first EZ pattern. Do any of you have any suggestions for me before I start?

Thanks!

  • Ooh! Guess who got an update thru her bloglines!! :oD!! This is definitely in my KAL folder LOL

I plan to eventually do the EZ surprise sweater myself but I definitely plan to watch the DVD so I can be hand held the whole way!! LOL

Can't wait to see what yarn colorways you will be using!

  • I found it saved my sanity to use a marker between each gull stitch pattern section.

  • Plan your button holes before you start as she doesn't mention them until you start the main body.
Also it is worth giving the seamless versions that others posted a go....
I've just finished my first and on my second one as it is so pretty. will post pics tonight!

  • hope I am not too late: for my first one I decided to do it the other way round: in the round where you divide up for body and sleeves I knitted the stiches for the first front halve, then put the stitches for the sleeve on spare yarn, used a provisional (crochet chain) cast on to create 14 new stitches, knit the back, put more sleeve stiches on another spare yarn, did another crochet chain cast on and knit the rest of the row. I then knit the complete body. After that I rescued the first set of sleeve stitches from the scrap yarn plus unzipped the provisional cast-on and knit a sleeve in the round, next one the same: no seaming and only two additional yarn ends. And do not forget about the buttonholes!
    Have fun knitting, Andrea
